Title: Right Channel Death
Post by: Colin on December 27, 2015, 07:03:17 PM
Hi,
My crack got problem; right channel is death silence, when i upgrade the output cap with clarity px100. Because the size is too big so I make some holes to stand the caps(maybe the problem happen when i makes holes progress).
The resistance different from manual book is,
7 & 9 3.05Kohm
13.    max up to 5Kohm
Center rca pin 110Kohm

Anyone please help me.

Thank you,
Colin

What voltages do you have?

3.05K isn't appreciably different than 3K.
Terminal 13 is marked with a *, which means anything that's significantly above 0 is good.
110K isn't appreciably different than 100K.

Well, the obvious suggestion is that the part you changed may well be where the problem lies. I suggest looking at the solder connections of your new output capacitor.

Thank you for the replies.
The voltage is (only the different) :
2. 150v
4. 150v
13. 150v
15. 170v
21. 190v
A1. 80v
B2. 155v
B4. 80v
B5. 155v

I have take back the stock caps but the problem not be solve. Maybe the issues happen when i make holes(the vibration effect from machine). And also re solder joint in the part/wire i put down when install caps. But still haven't find the problem.

So i take some pictures here, maybe can help. Any suggestion will very helpful.
Thank you.

Your problem is on the terminal strip below the 6080 socket, one set of output capacitors is wired incorrectly. Double check those connections from the manual.
