Title: Buildup of static in right channel
Post by: ohshitgorillas on January 16, 2016, 12:24:19 PM
Hello. I'm a longtime Crack user...er, listener...

I haven't done anything to modify or alter my Crack for a long time, but recently (perhaps since trying what ended up being a screwed up power tube) on occasion, I hear a slow and steady buildup of static in the right channel. The static is not affected by the volume knob, and is resolved by unplugging and re-plugging the headphones. The Crack sounds fine after this.

Any ideas as to where to start looking to resolve this? Thanks!

Start by tightening all the hardware on your Crack, then resolder all your solder joints.  In particular, the one on the headphone jack with the black wires coming out of it would be the most suspect in your case.
