At some point not while listening my DAC dropped the left channel. Problem solved after power cycling.
Now if I switch to BAT only, both channels drop, DAC goes to 384, then digits go dead after 14sec. This part may have been a problem before dropping left channel, I don't know since I leave the BOTBAT on BATCHG.
Voltage @BOTBAT: Bat only: 5.8v. Bat Chg: 6.0v. After DAC goes dead: 3.93v.
DAC works fine on wall wort only.
Hope that's enough info for a diagnosis.
Thanks, Jess

Put your Bottlebatt on charge only.
Leave it alone for 2 days.
Make sure the LED is completely off. Charge longer if it is not.
Try the DAC then.

Hey Josh,
It took about two days after the recharge (went up to 6.30v) and now the DAC cuts out again when switched to BAT ONLY. So I check voltage and it's 5v. Plugged the DAC back in and it's been playing on BAT ONLY for about 20min just fine. Very strange.

New development:
After playing BAT GHG for an hour or so when I switch to BAT only DAC cuts out, goes from 44.1 to blinking in and out of 384, and then plays @44.1 BAT ONLY. I haven't tried to see how long it plays in BAT ONLY. This is quite repeatable more like every 10min now. Now @5.98v.

Just use Bat/Chg rather than Bat Only. You pretty much have to talk yourself into being able to hear a difference.

Hi Doc,
That's what I've done up until having to deep charge it recently. Something isn't working correctly here.
Just found that when the wall wort is unplugged The BOTBAT switches between BAT CHG and BAT ONLY the way it should, no cutting out or anything.

Hey Josh,
My DAC wall wort output tests at 12.5v. Is that what it should be?

It is 9V DC nominally with a 2A load on it. It is an unregulated supply (linear thankfully), so with no load, that voltage will be way above 9V.
