Quickie working fine. Installed PJCCS. Found voltage check points on Side B of tube socket B5, B6 only .2volts. Right channel is fine.
Other measurement as per manual: 1A/1B 26 v, A6 20v, B6 .2v, A5 2.0v, B 5 .2v.
New D batteries...9v have 6 v each.
hmm. Did the usual rechecks, re-solders, swap tubes left to right etc...found on B side: MJE350 transistor a small fragment of metal wire, across the connector pins. Cleaned and rechecked, still no sound on left channel.
What's your guess? Shorted MJE350? Something else?
What I do hear from the one right channel is amazing...so now sleepless until I can get the left channel back.
Thanks for your support,
Bare

What DC voltage do you have between Kreg and +Reg on the offending side? (Black probe to Kreg, red probe to +reg)
The center leg of the MJE350 transistor is notoriously hard to solder. Reheat it with your iron and give it 5-10 seconds of heat to ensure that the joint flows properly.

PB, Hey your super fast on your support... Means alot when your in the trenches out here. Here's latest:
Voltage reading on A Right: Kreg and +reg: 2-2.2v
" B Left: Kreg and +reg: 1.7V
Followed your orders. Resoldered the MJE 350 transistor. Rechecked wiring and re-soldered
Same findings. Unfortunately.
IA 26.8V
IB 26.5V
A6 19.9V
B6 .7v
A5 1.7v
B5 .7v
What would be next? replace the PJCCS board? I'm open for all suggestions...Thanks!
