On January 8, I had my 23 year-old left replaced knee re-replaced with a new model which should last much longer, but at 77, how much longer do I have? Anyway my MQ/BH/Blumenstein system is providing wonderful music for exercise and rest during recovery. Thanks to the BH team, and especially PB, who built it for me. Bones heal better with Music! Cheers from Hank in Eugene

Hank, glad to hear all went well with the knee replacement. I have had 4 new joints and 3 infections in my right hip since it was replaced in 2013. Bottlehead and Blumenstein got me through it all along with the help of God.
And since I am 62, 77 sounds young to me. Wishing you many more years of listening enjoyment.

Every time I see those old cars in Havana, it hope that the medical community here gets the hint that keeping a classic on the road is well worth the trouble!
Hope you're back on your feet and making trouble for the folks in Eugene very soon!

Dear Steve; Not certain I am making trouble here in Eugene, but I am firing two woodfired kilns over the weekend at the Pleasant Hill Pottery to have some nice omiage(gifts) for my trip to Japan in the Fall. I will be making pots and firing a huge anagama kiln there near Kobe. I think my knee will allow me to do the work and have a great time in Sasayama.
Cheers, Hank

By the way; Clark dropped by our Eugene home to install a pair of AlNiCo "Makos"in my system to allow me to compare with the Orcas that I have been enjoying for years. These lovely drivers present delicacy and power in tandem, if a little less extended in the highs. The single-ended BH system and DAC feed them with beautifully rendered details, and I am enjoying the extra headroom which the Makos have. Clark returned to Seattle with a good selection of my pottery to extend his collection and allow it to embrace both home and office/factory. Cheers, Hank
