Title: Customize Input Impedance?
Post by: thegage on May 01, 2016, 12:40:00 PM
Is is possible to customize the input impedance of the Eros? If so, how difficult?

You just change the 47K resistor across the input grid for whatever value you want. Going lower is not a problem and going higher is only a problem if you approach 1Mohm.

Thanks! I haven't built a Bottlehead kit since a S.E.X. amp a number of years back (and a Foreplay and Seduction before that), but I bought a new MC cartridge recently with a slightly odd output (0.8mV) that doesn't quite match my current phono stage, and it seems like a good excuse for a new project.
