Title: a fun evening
Post by: Jay on June 23, 2016, 04:54:34 PM
OK, my tastes are not so esoteric...
My wife and I finished a meal and a couple of drinks at a little hipster pub near home.  I talked her into going into a neighboring shop which has a rack of old vinyl.  There, I found a clean looking copy of Edgar Winter's "They Only Come Out at Night" for six bucks.  Now, the last time I can remember Hearing "Frankenstein" was on my Soundesign clock radio back in high school.  You know, those old clock radios with the rolodex numbers...  Anyway, after playing it through my Eros, we agreed that we had never really heard it till now.  It put big smiles on both our faces.

Good find Jay,
I have also had some good (and some not so good) luck outside the local record store's used bins.
Along the same lines,  I keep hoping to discover a copy of Golden Earing's Radar Love.

I recently found a mint copy of Foghat Live. Sounded great through my old seduction, FPIII and Paramour II's. :)
