Title: Bottlehead Crack Troubleshooting - 1 LED not lit and voltages amiss. [resolved]
Post by: mjhara on December 27, 2016, 08:16:00 PM
This is my third Bottlehead build, having done an Eros and Stereomour in the past, so I know enough to believe that this is likely a bad solder joint somewhere - however, I've resoldered most joints and am still coming up short. Resistance checks were all correct, but I am getting bad values for my voltage checks. They are as follows:

T1: 0 (expected 50-100V)
T2: 231V (expected 170V)
T3: 0
T4: 231V (expected 170V)
T5: 95 V (expected 100V)

T6: 0V
T7: 0V
T8: 0V
T9: 0V
T10: 0V

One of the two LED's is not lighting up as well.

Tubes both light up on both sides.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I just rechecked the tubes and I was incorrect - the 6080 is not lighting up, although it did the first time during the tube check earlier in the process.

After resoldering some random seemingly unrelated joints it now works. Resolved!
