Recently purchased the Crack w/ speedball, and don't know much about this hobby. Looking to get into it, though. It seems a right-angled and braided power cord would be very useful for the Crack, so I'm looking for advice on good cords to purchase.
I'm almost surely set on going with monoprice, but my problem is: I actually don't know which specs the power cord should have, and wouldn't want to cause damage to the Crack.
I believe 14AWG C13/5-15P is the correct type? If someone could please confirm for me I'd appreciate it.
Any cord suggestions would be great!
NOTE: I know the bottlehead power cable would be ideal, but unfortunately it's too out of my budget.

Check out the Bottlehead Power Cord Kit. I have two and am very happy with them.

Ps. The Monoprice cord will definitely work, but will do little or nothing to improve the Crack. Read about the Bottlehead cord and other upgrade cords. It all sounds like audiophile snake oil. but it isn't.
Good luck. The Crack plus Speedball is extra ordinary.

Thanks for the reply adeep. As mentioned before, the bottlehead power cord would be ideal, but it is far beyond my budget for a power cable.
Was I correct regarding the specs for the monoprice cable? 14AWG C13/5-15P?

Hi
That power cord is the proper specs and will work just fine, route it in such a way that the audio and power cables do not run together, the audio to one side and power on the other, the further apart the better. Wire management will solve most of power cord problems.

This is the guide I plan on following when I get around to making a right-angle power cord. The guide is very detailed and the price of components is cheap. I plan on buying enough to build 3-4 so that I will have them on hand for any future Bottlehead kits.

Do yourself a favor and just buy some proper mains cable like Belden 19364.
