Title: Where should there be bare metal??
Post by: crizq0 on March 03, 2017, 11:09:31 AM
Just got my top plate and bell cover powdercoated on both sides. However, after more research in the forums, I realized I may have to sand/scratch some parts of the paint away to expose some metal. What areas of the top plate or bell cover needs exposed metal?

Assuming S.E.X. 3.0. Anywhere a good ground connection is required. I.E. all of the places in the safety ground section on page 27 and H1, H8, 1, 9, 15, 23.

Thanks for the help! Just went thru the resistance check and was not getting any readings. Followed your instructions regarding the H#'s. Tested again, and everything came out perfect.

Thanks!

23 is insulated (nylon washer and acorn) but connected to ground at 9 after soldering the wires.
