Title: Kaiju Power Transformer Secondary Test Question
Post by: Why1504 on March 26, 2017, 06:16:19 AM
Terminal 7 and 8 read 196.3 VAC Should read 190VAC(+/- 5%).  In Specification.

Terminal 9 and 10 read 6.73 VAC Should read 6.3VAC(+/- 5%).  Not in Specification (6.615VAC).

Terminal 14 and 11 read 6.74 VAC Should read 6.3VAC(+/- 5%).  Not in Specification (6.615VAC).

Terminal 13 and 12 read 6.74 VAC Should read 6.3VAC(+/- 5%).  Not in Specification (6.615VAC).

These are slightly high but 5% is a tight specification.  Measurements taken with a Fluke 179 (Calibrated).

Is this something to worry about??

There isn't anything to worry about here, these will drop a bit as you build out the amp and load down those windings.
