Title: Foreplay II return to service

I intend to fire up my retired Foreplay II for the first time in 6 or 7 years to see if it's still functional (expecting it should be) with the goal of giving it to a friend; I vaguely remember something about the need to re-form electrolytic PS caps in the case of long idle guitar amps by powering up slowly with a variac; would that be a good idea in this case?

I wouldn't worry too much about doing that, just flip it on and give it a listen.
