Title: Remote Battery Supply
Post by: 4krow on July 11, 2018, 09:17:36 AM
I have a quickie that has been progressing in steps as I get some time from my other projects. In a nutshell, I have made a Quickie in one enclosure, and had no room for the necessary battery supply. No problem I thought, and found a suitable box for just such a purpose. What I am asking is if there should be a total of 5 conductors coming from the batt box to the circuit. Two conductors carrying ground and 36 volt supply voltage, and Three other conductors, one for each 1.5 volt filament supply, and one for the filament ground.

The filaments are NOT grounded, so they require two wires for each tube. You need a total of six wires.

Thank you. That is the answer that I needed.

'Start Me Up' has begun. Yes, there are actually 5 positions for the 9 volt batteries if I choose to use that higher voltage. And yes, one D cell is not in place to give a better descriptive look inside. This began as Leeds & Northrup box of some kind. Quite a step up from my usual cigar box construction.
