Title: Info double output
Post by: Alby0521 on October 22, 2018, 05:00:11 PM
Hi

When I built my Beepre I utilize what was present in the kit in terms of output connection (a pair of rca and a pair of XLR output connectors).

I didn’t think to use the double output until today. I got a second amplifier that I’d like to connect to the Beepre at the same time of my Stereomour II. Each amp would drive a different pair of speakers.
2 questions:
1) is it better to replace the XLR connectors with rca or I can use an adaptor XLR to rca? What’s better in terms of sound quality if any difference exist?
2) the second amplifier is a 45 set. I don’t think I ever will but to be sure, could I run both amplifiers at the same time with the Beepre ( obviously each amp is drinking separate pairs of speakers.)?

Thanks in advance!

The adapters are a good solution that will involve the least amount of surgery to a preamp that's already working.  You could also just use RCA splitters on the RCA outputs and leave the XLR jacks as-is.  You can certainly run two amps off the BeePre without any issues.
