Just installed the PJCCS on my son's quickie and the voltages are off. I am using rechargeable batteries, so expected slightly lower numbers. That proved to be the case for IA and IB, but A6 and B6 are high (not what I expected).
IA/IB: 35.4V (target 37-38)
A6: 25.4V (target 19-21)
B6: 23.2V
A5/B5: 2.08V (target approx. 2V)
Is this a wiring issue or a battery issue?
MTIA,
Derek

What is the voltage on your D cell batteries?
-
1.33V and 1.32V
and rechargeable 9V's are averaging 8.8V or so
The A6 and B6 values posted above follow the tubes - swapped the tubes and the values swapped

It might be worth it to try another pair of 3S4, but you have the appropriate bias voltage, which means you have the correct current. Also, is this the old PJCCS or the new one (the presence of the 2N2222 would indicate the newer PJCCS).

That 20v target is an error; the design target was 24v.

Thanks PB and PJ. New PJCCS.
I'll treat it as ok. Now I need to figure out the selector switch stop setting.

This may be helpful for you. I believe the Quickie was the last manual to not have this included.

Awesome. Thanks PB. That's what I needed.
