Title: Bias Adjustment
Post by: adydula on August 27, 2019, 01:07:35 PM
After several months I chceked the bias and both sides were at 149 VDC.
I adjusted a few turns and set them back to the nominal 145 VDC.

So whats this indicating about the tube wear?

It may indicate burn-in more than anything.

I agree....nothing to really be concerned about.

It would be a neat excercise to plot the voltage change over time and see how that looks....

Nah...life is too short!!

Thanks Paul....listening with the Mainline, its superb!

The good news is I don't notice any change in sound quality from this bias drift. I'm happy there's the ability to adjust bias though.
