Title: Left channel humming/buzzing

Hi everyone,

My stock Crack has recently developed some electrical noise in the left channel. I just discovered that I can reproduce the noise by tapping or shaking my desk, where the Crack sits directly on top of. I also started using a replacement tube, the 6AS7G, about a week ago - I think the issue is correlated to the new tube. Any thoughts from the Bottlehead community on a potential fix?

Is the noise still there if you put the old tube back in?

Just put in an old tube, noise is gone. Could it just be that I got a faulty tube?

It might be that you need to run that tube for a few days to cook in a bit, then the noise will likely go away.
