Title: Bypassing Volume Pot with Fixed Resistor
Post by: roycruz23 on November 23, 2019, 04:13:16 PM
I want to get the cleanest signal as possible. I am using my Hagerman Clarinet Preamp to control the volume going to S.E.X. Instead of turning the volume up to maximum on S.E.X.(one way of bypassing the pot), I want to bypass it with fixed resistor/s. My question is where should I solder the resistor (which lugs). The value of the resistor would be the pot’s value I assume? Thanks!

The resistors need to take the place of the pot.  It's probably easiest to solder them across the RCA jacks.

I would just leave the pot all the way up though, that makes the pot into a pair of fixed resistors.
