Finished my Reduction kit, just wanted to say thanks to Paul for the help. I'm a few kits removed from being a total rookie, but made some rookie mistakes which he quickly sorted out. I took it for about a 1 hour test spin tonight and am very happy so far. I've attached a few pics of the finished product.
My system is a Tubes4HiFi St-70, their SP-10 tube preamp, and Klipsch Forte's. Oh, and my old turntable i've had since college, a Pioneer PL-518 with a new Sumiko Pearl cartridge.
Thanks again for the help on building this kit.

Hi:
I used Min-wax penetrating stain in Ebony...wiped on and let dry 24 hours. Then finished with 4 coats of satin Min-wax spray on laquer...just a standard spray can. I sanded with 220 and 320 between last two coats. Also sanded with 320 after last coat, and then when fully dry used a paste wax.

Old thread I know, but just registered. Thanks for the pictures and details of the base. I like the finish Bottlehead shows on the product page, but yours looks great!
