Title: Power switch wire
Post by: oguinn on May 29, 2020, 06:09:46 AM
I read too fast and trimmed the twisted shielded pair’s red wire to 2”. Can I twist and solder a jumper to that 2” piece and cover it in heat shrink, or does that run a risk since it’s going to the power transformer?

Hopefully this is my dumb mistake for this build.

Actually, nevermind. I’m going to order a new length of shielded twisted wire. Not worth it.

Yeah, on a Mainline I would definitely advise that patience is the most valuable asset.

Yep, should have re-read that. Measure twice cut once.

I actually think there’s enough shielded twisted cable in here to continue on.
