This upcoming artist made me reflect on the current state of our society and think about being so old that I was around during a past movement for equality for black Americans. Sad that this hasn't been resolved still, considering how long this old fart has been kicking around. During that time in the late 60's a phrase coined in the previous century came into prominence - Black is Beautiful.
Not that anyone with a brain really needs proof of that, but here is a pretty outstanding example. Helen Ibe, beautiful and talented Nigerian musician. Be sure to check out her covers of Little Wing and Lean on Me as well, she can really play that axe.
