Title: Amp pairing

Which amp pairs better with the jager speakers, the kaiju or the monamour?
If they are both good matches, could someone describe the sonic differences between the two pairings?

I’d also appreciate any hint on when the monamours may be back in stock.  :)

We're working on getting the things like meters and transformer covers for the MonAmours in stock. When we have a better sense of delivery we will start taking orders for the next run.

That said, if you are using a single amp for woofers and tweeters the Kaiju is the best choice. If you want to biamp then Kaiju on the woofers and MonAmours on the tweeters is really nice. If you want to rockit a monoblocked Kaiju on each set of woofers and a MonAmour on each tweeter is king. That's how my system is set up.

The Kaiju has a little extra headroom that the MonAmour does not.  Both amps use the same plate choke, output transformer, and shunt regulated driver, but the MonAmour comes with fancier capacitors. 

The MonAmour is more flexible with tubes used and is cosmetically very striking.  The Kaiju is overall a better value, leaves the upgrade choices to the builder, and has a lower noise floor with the DC filament upgrade.
