Title: Hum Pot schematic
Post by: debk on March 06, 2021, 09:08:41 AM
I am building my Kaiju and I noticed that the build and the schematic do not agree.  The build has the 22R resistor going to other side of the 0.51R than in the schematic shown in the manual.

Attached is a schematic of how it is in the build.  Sorry for my terrible drawing abilities

It's a 6 of one, half dozen of the other situation.  The way it's built in the Kaiju is copied over from the Stereomour and is done that way because of spacing and layout.  Functionally they are identical.

Well, son of a gun - I don't know how we missed that all these years!

Fortunately, as PB said it makes no meaningful difference in the operation of the amp.

I can see now how it came about - the diagram was first made before the prototype was built, with the 0.51-ohm dropping resistors in the power supply diagram. After it was laid out and built, those resistors got moved to the output stage diagram to better reflect the physical build, but the small change to the topology was not noticed.

Thanks didn't think it made a difference.  I like referring to the schematic as I build.

Thanks

I like referring to the schematic as I build.
We should probably do a little more of that too ;)
