Well I finished my Jager. It is much more difficult to finish plywood than the alder bases. In retrospect I probably should have veneered them with alder first then dyed them, but all in all I am happy with the outcome.
As to the important part, how do they sound? Granted I only have less than an hour on them and I have not played around with placement, I think they sound great! The bass is punchy and I have no need for a sub. The mids are smooth and everything integrates well. I already prefer them to my old full range speakers.
Overall I am very happy with the sound and recommend the Jagers to anyone looking for a great speaker.

Those are looking great! Staining plywood can indeed be a bit tedious.

They look great! Nice job on the finish!

I like the look, it really accentuates the grain pattern. Perhaps you used rain water for the deep hazy finish. OK I'll get me coat.

Well done, awesome system.

May I ask what kind of beast has gnawed the corner off your rack?

Awww, good dog.
I have a cat that chews wood corners, as well as electronics cords, unfortunately. I try to put out sacrificial cords and cables for her, but she's too smart.

Is that your artwork on the wall behind your system?
