Title: BeeQuiet Signal Ground Connections
Post by: Deke609 on May 07, 2021, 02:26:04 PM
@PB -

As best as I can tell, on the Fine switch each channel connects to its respective signal/chassis ground connection (i.e., L to Lgnd and R to Rgnd), but on the Coarse switch both channels are referenced to Left channel signal ground.

Am I right about this? If so, I assume it's because there is no easy way of connecting the Coarse Right channel to Right signal ground via the 562R resistor? My rejigged layout of the BQ allows me to connect each Coarse channel to its respective signal/chassis ground fairly easily -- Any reason for me not too, sound-wise?

I assume not, but want to make sure that there wasn't some weird hum issue that popped up when you were prototyping the BQ and that tying the Coarse channels to the same ground was the fix.

cheers and many thanks in advance, Derek

You can use a common ground bus for both channels, that's not going to cause any issues.
