Title: Wiring questions for installing upgraded power caps
Post by: mightygrey on November 25, 2021, 12:04:50 PM
Hi guys, I've bought a pair of KZK White Line 100uF/250VDC film caps to install in my Crack + Speedball - they're pretty big so I'm finding it hard to wire them to the solder tabs on 6/7 & 9/10.

Can I wire the cap that's supposed to be connected to 9/10 directly onto the tube pin B6 and to the white wire connecting to the top solder tab (the one connected to the resistor) on the headphone jack?

Similarly, can I wire the other cap to the tube pin B3 and the middle solder tab on the headphone jack?

Add wires to the caps and solder those to the relevant connections. A sleeve over the joints can be a good safety consideration.

It's also worth mentioning that we left lots of extra space in the Crack-a-two-a for stuff like this.
