Title: Lights on low current C4S board not glowing [resolved]
Post by: Happy Ghost on December 22, 2021, 10:13:49 AM
Hello forum,

I finished the assembly of the C2A kit but am encountering a problem at the last stage. The lights on the low current C4S board are not glowing. The resistance checks passed OK. Here are the values from the voltage check.

Low Current C4S
IA      148.5
OA      83.6
KregA   4.9
bRegA  148.5

IB     147.6
OB     80.2
KregB  4.48
bRegB  147.6

High Current C4S

IA    193.4 / 193.5
OA    148.5 / 147.6
bA     0 / 0

IB      0 / 0
OB     99.1 / 96.7
bB      148.5   / 147.5

Headphone Jack

Tip  0.024V
Ring 0.027V

What could be the problem?

Rgds,
Atul

Are you sure they aren't glowing?  Frankly the voltages you posted are glowing (in a good way) and if you presented those to me I would say you did a perfect job building the amp.

Those LEDs will be the dimmest ones in the kit as they have very, very little current flowing through them, so you may need to turn the lights off to see them working.
