Title: Resistors to heater
Post by: hddeluxe1 on December 30, 2021, 01:22:26 PM
Hey all, just made a stupid mistake and as I was soldering the 3 Ohm- J resistor in  the wire coming out of the resistor broke off. I've been trying to locate another but all it says on it are the
3ohm-j  no luck online as of yet. any solution would be appreciated. Schematic shows 2 watt I believe. Thanks

The bosses are out of the office and won't be back till Monday.  You can e-mail replacementparts(At)bottlehead(dot)com to request a replacement.

This would be an OK substitute:

I'm not going to say it's a good idea, but I'm sure you could substitute a piece of wire for that missing resistor to at least work your way through the build all the way.  If you ran the amp like that long term something would break, but for a few hours of testing and use it shouldn't matter all that much.
