Title: Quick schematic question [resolved]
Post by: Neuronal on February 01, 2022, 01:50:17 PM
Hi - I'm upgrading the interstage cap in my 1.1 Paramounts, and the duelund caps I am trying advise to connect the outer foil to the lowest impedance path to ground. Just checking - that means to connect that lead to terminal 7, in other words connected to the 249K resistor to ground. Thanks for confirming - don't want to mess this up!

I would connect the outer foil toward the plate of the driver tube rather than the 249K resistor, as the internal impedance of a 5670 is much, much lower than 249K.

thanks - I'm glad I checked!

I mean the signal level there is enormous, so you're not going to notice either way I suspect.  On the other hand, if you put them in with the outer foil toward the output grid and you changed your mind later, then you'd have to do it twice!
