Hi Folks, I am considering building the Moreplay. I want to craft a wood base for it out of African Padauk that I have. Can someone please tell me the exact dimensions of the base and chassis plate?
Many thanks,
John

The chassis plate is 8"x10" and the base should be at least 3.5" tall. We typically recommend a rabbet that is 1/8" wide and 1/8" deep. The external dimensions of the wood beyond that would be completely up to you.

PB, I'm not sure I understand, That post you reference is twelve years old and the data refers to the Crack. I'm looking for information about The Moreplay. If the dimensions are identical, how would I know?
Sorry if I am misunderstanding anything as I don't want to be a pain.

Hi John,
I suspect maybe you accidentally hit the "report to moderator" link over on the right side of the post. We each get an email that notifies us that a post needs to be moderated when that happens.
The Moreplay is 8"x10"x0.080" thick and that is indeed different than the Crack.

Whoops, sorry. I'll be more careful in the future.
Many thanks,
