Title: Left channel RCA jack not passing resistance check
Post by: Shackney1127 on August 02, 2022, 10:33:57 AM
Finished building the Crack. Did resistance checks. Only thing that doesn't pass is the left rca jack. I get no resistance. My multimeter actually beeps sometimes. To my knowledge, this indicates a short. Any tips or advice?

Thanks!

The most common issue is a solder bridge between the outer shell and the center pin of the jack.

That looks like the case. Tried removing as much as I could with solder wick, but no dice. Guess I'll just order a replacement and try again.

You can also cut the solder off with side cutters or use a small flat head screwdriver to scrape it away.
