Hi I am rebuilding my old foreplay 2 with anticipation upgrade I have some UF4004 silicon rectifiers which I have used instead of the4007 I have ended up with very little volume, could this be the culprit or should I look elsewhere

I would do a voltage check.  Different 1A/1000V diodes will not the the source of an issue.
