Title: Keeping wandering fingers out of harm’s way
Post by: oguinn on March 23, 2023, 05:14:18 AM
Ages ago there was a thread about how best to babyproof the amp against curious children’s fingers. I can’t find it. I seem to recall the suggestion was a perforated board or a mesh of some sort but wanted to see if anyone had a solution that kept someone from reaching under the chassis and shocking themselves but still allowed for adequate airflow.

I would use a sheet of perforated aluminum screwed to the bottom of the base. It must have a drain wire attaching it to the chassis plate so that it has continuity with the safety ground.

Thanks, Doc. Just attached to any of the ground points is ok?

Attach the drain wire from the bottom panel to the safety ground tab on the chassis panel.
