Title: Quickie idle battery drain
Post by: aragorn723 on February 17, 2014, 04:33:49 PM
Hi, how much does the Quickie drain the batteries if you leave the power switch on for maybe an hour or so?  I have done this a couple of times (with the sources and amp off) and wondered whether it would drain just the 9v batteries or both?  Does this significantly decrease battery life?  Thanks,

Dave

If you leave the power switch on, yes, the batteries drain.

You will get roughly 100 hours from each set, so leaving the preamp on for an hour will deplete 1.0% of the life of that set of batteries (D-cells and 9V's).

That's 1% of course - I think PB made a typo...

I added a decimal point ;)
