Title: 0.015uF Polystyrene
Post by: HF9 on November 30, 2014, 07:33:00 AM
Hi there gents, just ordered my fix, can't wait to build it! For the sake of consistency, I was hoping to use polystyrene for 0.015uF caps with the same look. I was able to find these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-PRECISE-PRECISION-CAPACITOR-125V-160V-AXIAL-FILM-POLY-POLYSTYRENE-1-/121427411523?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item1c45a34243 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-PRECISE-PRECISION-CAPACITOR-125V-160V-AXIAL-FILM-POLY-POLYSTYRENE-1-/121427411523?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item1c45a34243)

Let me know if they'll suffice. TIA.

Yeah, that should work.  Voltage rating isn't particularly important.

It's also worth noting that he 0.015uF caps are only switched in on the widest baffle setting, so if you don't end up using that position, those caps will be out of the signal path.

Thanks Paul. I went ahead and snagged a pair. Planning on a nice build with some wood molding and a copper plate. Will be using with a pair of Frugel horns for now, but may also use with a LGK 1.0.
