Title: Seductor v.s Quicksand any comparison
Post by: frank bare on March 29, 2016, 12:27:01 PM
Looking to all the Bottlehead friends out here who have built a Quicksand... like me, but getting the craze to do the next step to a Seductor...

I'm very pleased with the Quicksand/Quickie...and could stay with this for some time.

Any thoughts, comparisons on sound quality? I'm using  a full range single driver speaker system at 86db? BTY, the Quicksand does remarkable at only 4 watts...

thanks for the feedback...

The Seductor and Quicksand are both amplifiers with a fair amount of feedback, and also amplifiers that don't clip as softly as our higher end amplifiers.

Beyond that, the Seductor is going to be much more resolving, and may be a better match at low frequencies with your single driver loudspeaker if they are intended for low power tube amplifiers.

It's also fun to be able to roll tubes instead of batteries  8)
