Title: MourQuiet Attenuator Now Available!
Post by: fullheadofnothing on April 29, 2016, 10:02:03 AM
The first of several Stereomour II upgrades, the highly anticipated MourQuiet Attenuator, is now ready for purchase!

It is available as a stand alone upgrade (http://bottlehead.com/product/mourquiet-stepped-attenuator-upgrade-for-stereomour-ii/) or you can add it to a new Stereomour II (http://bottlehead.com/product/stereomour-ii-stereo-single-ended-integrated-2a3-amp/) purchase.

We are looking at a standard 3-6 week shipping time frame, so get those orders in early to beat the rush!

Do we lose the balance feature with Mourquiet?

Will the loss of the balance control create any issues if i I choose to
bridge Stereomour(s) into monoblocks?

What purpose would a balance control provide on a monophonic amplifier?

The bridging I advocate for triode amps (wiring output transformer secondaries is series) is fairly insensitive to unbalanced gains.

But you would probably just connect one control section to both driver grids, so the imbalance between potentiometer sections that is common at low gain settings will not be an issue.
