Title: Voltage reading
Post by: tomn3 on July 05, 2016, 04:07:30 PM
Hello all, I was confirming that what appears to be close to an ok reading for 12.  Resistances are all within range.  All voltages except for 12 below were within range (allowing for 10 percent variation).  12 came in just a bit above the normal range.

Voltage at 12 should be 30-55v, reading 61.4v.
Voltage at 28 should be 30-55v, reads 53.4v.

I suspected normal variation in a tube, and switched tube positions across to the twins in the A/C and B/D sockets:

Voltage at 12 read 53.3v after A/B tube switching
Voltage at 28 read 63.3v after A/B tube switching

My suspicion is these readings are ok.  Would the reading for 12 (or 28 after switching sides) be within the anticipated range?

Thanks for your help!

Tom

Yeah, you're in the ballpark for values, and you may find that after 30-50 hours that those voltages settle down a bit more.
