Hi everyone. I'm putting together the quickie and I'm just curious what people use as a washer between the chassis and the input bolts.
I have searched lots of pictures in the gallery and I see several with a white washer. I'm assuming that they aren't necessary, as I didn't get any on my inputs and they aren't on the parts supply page, and the nuts are not really tight anyway.
(What first got my attention, was that my inputs are so much shorter than the ones pictured in the manual, and if I add any, I don't think I will be able to fit nuts on the threads.)
Kit was packed great. Loving the build.

Do you mean the RCA jacks???
RCA jacks come with a flat and a shoulder washer. Shoulder goes on top, flat goes on bottom. Not as crucial with a non-conductive panel like the other kits, but the are there, and they are definitely discussed in detail in the manual. The jacks provided may be different visually from those in the manual, but they will have the same functional parts.

Thanks, I should have just gone with my gut and assumed the length of the jack was inconsequential.

Your plastic insulating washers are red and black, not white. This is because we have opted to use better RCA jacks in our kits. Functionally, a red, black, and white piece of plastic all do the same job.

Right, I know the color doesn't matter. The snowball affect takes place when I start to look deeper into something that doesn't matter. The jack looked a little different than the picture, and it was just barely shorter. Then seeing the red and black identifying the jacks as right and left, along with a white washer in pictures of quickies in the gallery, made me want to ask. Just a rube question that I should have known.
