Title: 215ohm from center of D to D2
Post by: Brent on January 17, 2017, 07:08:05 AM
While soldering an adjacent joint, I inadvertently heated and slightly browned one end of the 215ohm resistor from the center ground lug of socket D to D2. Assuming it still reads 215 ohms, is the location and function such that I shouldn't worry about it? If it needs to be replaced, how critical are values and composition of the part? I'm not in a huge rush, so i may just get a new one from replacementparts vs. pick something up locally anyway.

Thanks!

If the resistor still reads 215 Ohms, I wouldn't sweat it.  The value needs to be between 100 and 1000 Ohms, any wattage will do.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case given its location. Better safe than sorry though!
