Hello there.

Just want to share my recent discovery.

I have figured out that I like the sound of Xylophone when done right.
In that direction I could recommend two albums.

Jazz / Xylophone
1. Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Milt Jackson - The Very Band, live at the Blue Note (Great atmosphere and you can hear how impressed the crowd is. )
2. The Modern Jazz Quartet\The Last Concert (1975)

Soul
1. Donny Hathaway\Live  Track #2 - The Getto.  Great groove, really sings on my Crack. (HDTracks)
2. Macy Gray\Stripped (HDTracks Dr. Chesky Biaural recording) Never been a fan of MG, but this album just sounds too good to my ears. You can really notice the strings touching the huge wooded base of the contrabass. Good music.

Blues
1.  Muddy Waters\Folk Singer [1964] Great recording of acoustic blues. (This recording is nr 1. because Muddy Waters is also my man.)
2. Doug MacLeod\Theres a Time (You might know this one. Famous for its low noise floor and excellent acoustic guitar and sharp voice.)
3. BB King/Live at Regal. Excellent concert but it has been hard to find a recording that is now too loud. I have a copy of it in 16/44KHz that sounds much better then an 24/192KHz (HDTracks) version I also have.

Feel free to come up with suggestions on good music that are well recorded.

@2wo.

Jazz at the Pawnshop.

That was a great suggestion, Its now in my collection and I really like it, fantastic live recording..
Im fairly new to jazz, but I am getting older and liking it more and more :)
Been hooked up on blues for the last 10 years so I am gradually moving through this.
