Hi guys. This is my first time with a headphone amplifier kit, and first time tube rolling.

I purchased a Tung-Sol 6080 off etsy for $40 from a guy who claims it was triple-tested. However, I haven't been able to get any sound from the right channel after insertion. Also, the LEDs closest to the transformer on my speedball board do not turn on.

If I max-out the volume on the crack and isolate the right channel on my computer, I can actually hear a tiny amount of sound. If I level the channels out, it's almost listenable, but the detail on the right is gone and of course it's not ideal.

Do I need to modify the crack in any way to get this tube working?

Well, you can't modify a Crack in any way to make a bad tube work, if the tube is bad. For starters put the stock tube back in and see if the amp works right. That tells you if the problem is in the tube or in the amp. If neither tube works right there is probably a bad connection somewhere either around the board that isn't lighting up or around the 6080 socket.

I've gone back and forth between this and the stock tube. Stock tube is working 100% as intended.
