Hello all,

This is my first post as I am a proud new owner of a Bottlehead Crack kit.

I have just got a Bottlehead Crack 1.1 to be built in Spain, here we have 220 V of altern current at 50 Hz.

In the manual, the section for the transformer setup is:

a) [< 115 V AC]
b) [115 V - 130 V]
c) [210 V - 225 V]
d) [225 V - 235 V]
e) [245 V - 245 V]

So according to my countries voltage (220V), I should choose option c.

But, I have measured the voltage with the digital multimeter, and I get 227 V, so I should choose option d.

So here is the question: What do I choose?

Option c. (210 V - 225 V) because that is the range for the theoretical value for my country.
or Option d. (225 V - 235 V) because that is the measured (real) value of the voltage output from the mains.

What is the correct setting for the transformer in this case?.

Thank you for the response and sorry for the boring question.

Use what you actually measure at the wall. You might try measuring it at different times of the day and night, as it may vary a little. Just use an average value if it does vary, for example if it varies from 220 to 227 use 223.5 as your average.
