I'm helping a friend set up a budget stereo using a S.E.X. 2.1 and a pair of Pioneer SP-BS22-LR. The Pioneer's are rated at 6 ohms. Would it be better to use the 4 or 8 ohm taps for this setup?

I would guess the 8 ohm would work best, because it will extract a bit more power from the amp, and the speaker sensitivity is pretty low. But the response may be flatter with the 4 ohm setting. Ideally you would try both and see what you hear!

Thanks Paul. I'll start with 8 ohms. I'll let him break in the speakers for a while and try the 4 ohm setting later.
