Hello Everyone,

First - thanks to the Bottlehead group for putting together a phenomenal kit and the clearest set of build guides I've ever seen.  Even with that, I've made an error that I can't sort.  I am happy to post relevant pictures of the build.  I didn't want to take up space in case there may be a specific area to hone in on.

I thought I had followed the build guide to the letter.  My soldering technique is decent, but certainly not world class.  I checked and re-checked joints with a 3.5x set of jeweler's glasses and did "tug checks" on each.  I think all the joints are solid.

Power Line Test - 121
Secondary Test - Correct and Within Tolerances
Glow Test - Passed
Resistance Check - Correct and Within Tolerances
LEDs - Both Lit
Votages.... Ooooh...  I'm embarrassed I can't figure it out.  Note, the black lead is on U12.

1:  -85.8
2: 0
3: -165
4 0
5 -85.4
6 -165
7 -66
8 - -165
9 -64
10 -165

Clearly I have missed something in my repeated reviews.  I let it set... came back to it... re-checked.  I shouldn't be stumped, but I am.

Any help is appreciated.

That's an odd set of voltages.  Please do post photos of your build.  (And don't attempt to use it yet of course!)

Hi Paul -

Wow!  Thank you for the quick reply.  Here is an overall shot.  I also took a shot of the area with the rectifiers.  I had a bit of a time getting them all arranged properly, but I've checked them a few times.  But just in case...

Thank you!

Oh Good GRIEF!  Maybe it just takes posting a picture to a forum to notice for myself...   I've got the lead on 13U.  Let me try on 12U....

Zoinks!

Well, if anyone is wondering what their voltages may look like with the test lead at the wrong test point... I am here to say... ooops..

With the lead on 12U - We are good to go!!!  Yay!  Well, that cost me a few hours.  Just goes to show that I should check EVERYTHING including the test point.

Now for some tunes!
