I've had my Crack with Speedball a couple of months now.
I might put my headphones on 4 to 8 times throughout an evening as I sit down to listen, then go off to do other things, then come back etc.
In terms of tube longevity, and general amplifier health, should I just leave the amp on all evening, or turn it off/on each time I leave and come back to listening? I know there exists heater in-rush current and also plate stripping, but this should be weighed against the time tubes are running up 'powered on hours'
What would be better for the amp and tubes in terms of longevity?
