Hey Everyone,

So I updated the stock volume pot with an Alps one and it sounds great.  But of course it's longer than the stock one so the knob sticks up.  I know I could just cut it off with a hacksaw, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a knob that would fit over it?

Thanks!
Tim

The knob I got worked!

A slightly less expensive option with very similar specs is this one: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/534-8556

I just liked the style of the other one better.

You are correct!  I'm using a Modi 3 and Wyrd.   I usually connect it to my Android phone and the Modi will drain the battery, so that's where the Wyrd comes in, plus all the other "decrapification" it provides. :)

And then I found these for right angle RCA adapters.  They're expensive, but really nice: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/audioquest-right-angle-rca-adapter-gold/5577831.p?skuId=5577831

I think you need to send over that 421A to my place for some "testing". Fair warning: you may not get it back!

I just sold my Mimby and picked up a bstock Modi 3. Pocketed the rest. Hopefully, didn't make a mistake there.

I just plan on trimming the shaft with a dremmel. The knobs I've bought are cheap Chinese aluminum from eBay and would be too short but I love the look of them.

I could do that, but I'll need a $200 deposit first. :)

Made the same mistake! Any idea where I can get a similar knob for less expensive? That link you posted is $10 for the knob + $8 for shipping :O

This isn't looking too pretty haha..PS: Nice WE 421A :D

This one is about $7, a little less I suppose.  https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/534-8556

The other option is to go to Mouser (https://www.mouser.com/Electromechanical/Knobs-Dials/_/N-5g22) and then just filter by:

Product: Knobs
Shaft Diameter: 1/4 inch
Height: 23mm through 1 inch (multi-select)

Then see what comes up.
