Hey Folks,
Does anybody have a source for quality axial electrolytic capacitors? I don't think Nichicon makes them in the size i need, 220uf/250v
Any ideas? Thanks.

Mouser has 250V axial caps from CDE and Vishay.  When you search for them, I would just search for "250V axial capacitor", then set a range of capacitances that includes more than 220uF (there are more 200uF/250V axial caps than 220uF/250V axial caps, but the difference is unlikely to be significant for most applications).

Thanks Paul, will do. I decided to build a Don Garber style FP3 after all. Have some preliminary ideas worked out. I guess i could use radial caps and bend and extend the leads but i would prefer axials.

F&T make a good range of Axials too, very commonly used in Guitar amplifiers.  Search out suppliers for Tube Amp parts like https://www.tubedepot.com/t/diy-central/capacitors

Another vote for F&T axial capacitors, made in Germany, excellent quality and well priced. I've used them in several builds.
