I find him to be an amazing and extraordinary resource. Amazing because his knowledge and Zen like understanding of what’s going on is second to none, immediate algorithms for differential diagnosis on hand always, and so patient. I am more or less of a lurker despite the fact that I am working on my mainline headphone amplifier but every time I look at this forum which is frequently, I’m just amazed. When I am done with my headphone amplifier, and it works - ! I would like to find a more formalized way to show my thanks

an emphatic amen. when i look at unread forum posts, my first scan is for his replies, from which i always learn something. if i were a better student, my own questions would be less frequent and dopey.

I agree with all that’s been said. Paul is one of nature’s true gentleman.

Both Pauls (Birkeland and Joppa) are so great!  Both were very helpful last year with my efforts to update my Afterglow amps.  Patient with the ignorant questions I asked, helpful with solutions, and I learned stuff too!  One of the many reasons Bottlehead is a great company and this is a great community!

Excellent support with some odd behavior with Stereomour II upgrades. Outstanding, rapid and thorough feedback and assistance. Among the very best I've experienced.

My Dream System is now complete, as built beautifully by Paul. All Custom built, the 2A3 stereo amp, the Kugelis linestage with MQ cobalt B7s, the headphone amp, and the BH DAC; and finally, the Jagers! Can't wait to audition my new cartridge!
Dreams realized with company are sweet indeed, thanks Paul!

Oh yeah. I must have asked a dozen questions  while building my Crack. He had to answer all kinds of questions that I  know that has really helped my understanding of  what  to do. Thanks so much Paul!  :)

100% agreed!  Paul was a great help to me as I built my first ever tube amp.  Since I’m a total nube in this domain, Paul tirelessly answered all of my questions, often in the evening and on weekends, too!  Saying “thank you” just doesn’t seem adequate.

You rock, Paul!
