Hello.....
Newbie Bottleheader here from UK. My Crack is on its way over the pond and just trying to get my equipment togeather. Looking to get a soldering station so I can get a bit of soldering practice in before the Crack arrives. Not looking to spend a fortune as probably won't be used much after. Are the cheapish (£30-£50) 50/60 watt Chinese ones on Amazon up to the job?
Thanks 👍

If you can stretch your budget, the FX888 by Hakko is a great station (but pay very careful attention to the instructions in the manual to adjust the temperature).

Otherwise I would go for something well reviewed that is 60+ watts and run it at its hottest temp.  Leaded solder (not lead free!) is also really important.
